Hyderabad: Opener Gautam Gambhir was on Wednesday declared fit to play in the fifth ODI against Australia in Hyderabad.

Gambhir sustained injury during the third match of the series at Kotla and was unfit to play in the fourth ODI.

Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni heave a sigh of relief on learning that opener Gautam Gambhir was declared fit for fifth ODI.

Gambhir’s presence in the top order would be a huge boost for India as he, along with Dhoni, has been one of the consistent run-getter in the current series.

The seven match series is now levelled at 2-2.
