The first edition of Karnataka Premier League (KPL), modelled along the Indian Premier League will be held from Sep 9 [Wed], 09 to Sep 23 [Wed], 09. The tournament will have 31 matches starting from September 9 with the final on September 23. Each team will play against each other in the league round where they fight for a berth in the two semi-finals Sep 22 [Tue], 09 and final Sept 23 [Wed], 09.
The eight teams taking part in the tournament are Bijapur Bulls, Bangalore Brogadiers, Mangalore United, Mysore Maharajas, Provident Bangalore, Malnad Gladiators, Shamanur Davangere Diamonds and Belagavi Panthers.
